We Are Expanding

More homes. More connection. More opportunities for a full life.

Hopewell currently operates 10 locations (soon to be 11) and is expanding housing, respite and community supports to create opportunities for more people and families waiting on the DSO Registry. New homes are welcoming, thoughtfully designed and shaped around the people who will live there.

Why we are growing

Housing isn’t one-size-fits-all. And it isn’t one-size-fits-forever.

At Hopewell, every home is thoughtfully designed around the person, creating opportunities for greater independence, belonging and a full life. As people’s goals and support needs change, we continue to grow and adapt alongside them, ensuring every individual has a place to call home at every stage of their journey.

Light-filled rooms, thoughtful renovations, and warm spaces made for company. This is what your support builds.

And here is what it became

A house in November. A home by April.

This is the same address a few months on: housemates, a back deck that gets used every day, and people who now have somewhere that is genuinely theirs.

Ways to contribute

Three things a gift can do right now

Each one is a real piece of the next home.

Help Open the Door to a New Home

Finding capital is the challenge. Your gift goes straight into buying the next home, which is the moment everything else becomes possible.

Give toward a new home

Help Furnish a Home

Beds, kitchen tables, the comfortable chair someone claims as theirs. Furnishing is what turns a set of rooms into somewhere a person actually wants to come back to.

Furnish a room

Help Purchase a Vehicle

An accessible vehicle is the difference between a life lived indoors and a life that includes appointments, jobs, family visits and Saturday plans.

Put wheels under someone’s week

Companies and foundations

Bigger ways to make a home happen

Sponsor a home outright, fund a renovation, furnish a whole space, or donate the flooring, paint, fixtures and appliances that stretch every renovation dollar further.

Coming soon Our furnishing registry. Soon you will be able to pick real items from the list a new home actually needs, a bed, a kettle, a good armchair, and send them straight into it.

What our homes are really like

Not a facility. A home.

When people hear “group home”, they rarely picture what we see every day. Ours are spacious and lovingly renovated, with private space that is genuinely someone’s own opening onto warm rooms made for company. Think of the best parts of living with people you like: the shared meals, the inside jokes, the housemates who slowly become your people. None of that happens by accident. It is designed in.

And because people change, we change with them. For some, a Hopewell home is a launchpad toward more independent living. For others, ongoing support is exactly what lets them thrive, and there is no expiry date on belonging. Both are success.

The bright, open living room of a Hopewell home

A home is where someone finally gets to be fully, freely themselves.

Built around the person

No two people are the same, so no two homes are either. Each one is designed and renovated around the needs, goals and personalities of the people who live there.

Reviewed as life moves

What someone needs at 20 is not what they need at 40. We keep revisiting the supports and the space so the home carries on fitting the person.

Room to stretch

A supported environment that meets people where they are, with room to move toward greater independence at their own pace, never on a schedule set by someone else.

What a home makes possible

One home. Four things it changes.

If you live here

A place that is genuinely yours, built around how you actually live. Your own space, your own routines, your own front door. And when what you want out of life changes, your home and your support change with you, instead of you having to move on and start again somewhere else.

If someone you love lives here

The question every family carries is what happens next. Our answer is that there is a next, and it is planned for. Support that flexes as needs change, a team who know your person as a person, and somewhere you can picture them being happy in ten years’ time, not just this year.

If you help make it happen

Government funding covers a great deal, but it rarely stretches to everything a new home needs, and never on the timeline families are waiting on. Community giving is what closes that gap, so a gift here does not disappear into general operating. It becomes a room, a ramp, a kitchen table, an address someone gets to call theirs for as long as they want it.

If you work here, or want to

Growth means somewhere to grow into. New homes mean new teams, new leadership roles and new ways to build a career without leaving the people you support behind. It is also, plainly, a good place to work: see what we offer.
