Jessica has been with Hopewell for 20 years now, starting her journey as a Program Support Worker in the Ariss home. Guided by founder John and Joanne Oosterhuis, she learned early on the importance of respect, care, and supporting individuals to reach their potential. Over the years, she has held roles including Program Coordinator, working with schools and therapists, and Manager of Respite Services, supporting families through positive care experiences. She has also helped launch several residential programs, playing a key role in Hopewell’s growth. Today, as Executive Director, Jessica continues to champion person-centered care, advocate for families, and empower staff across the organization to serve with compassion and excellence.
Gayle brings extensive HR experience across nonprofit, healthcare, education, and private sectors. A former corporate executive, she is skilled in coaching, change management, policy design, and employee relations. At Hopewell, Gayle focuses on building a positive, values-based culture that supports both staff and the people they serve. She believes a healthy workplace directly enhances the quality of care provided to families and individuals. Her work includes guiding leadership, supporting professional growth, and aligning people practices with Hopewell’s mission. With a strong commitment to best practices and continuous improvement, Gayle ensures Hopewell remains a caring, supportive, and effective organization where staff can thrive and individuals are supported with dignity and respect.
Emily’s passion for supporting individuals with developmental disabilities began in high school, where she volunteered in inclusive programs. Since joining Hopewell, she has grown through leadership roles, including launching the Grange property, first as Coordinator and later as Manager. Her ability to build engaged, supportive teams has made the Grange a model of excellence in care. Now, as Director of Operations and Support Services, Emily provides strategic leadership, advocates for resources, and strengthens partnerships to enhance programs. She is deeply committed to person-centered care, ensuring the people Hopewell supports live with dignity and connection, while also empowering staff to grow and succeed. Emily’s collaborative approach reflects her vision of creating inclusive communities where everyone can thrive.
Dayo is a Chartered Accountant with over a decade of finance experience in Canada, Africa, and Europe. His background spans nonprofits, public service, and international development, giving him a strong global perspective on accountability and transparency. He began his career at a Big Four audit firm before moving into roles managing budgets, audits, and funding portfolios. Most recently, he served as Controller at a Canadian developmental organization. At Hopewell, Dayo leads financial strategy, ensuring sustainability, oversight, and alignment with the organization’s mission. He is passionate about building efficient systems, empowering teams, and stewarding resources responsibly. His leadership helps ensure Hopewell remains financially strong and able to provide essential services to individuals and families with specialized needs.
