Hopewell has provided T’s family with respite support for quite a
while. Due to struggles at home, T has been living full time at
Hopewell’s Elmira location since the fall 2023. He initially struggled
with the change and missed his family immensely. With our staff
team’s incredible compassion and support, T has adjusted well to his
new living arrangement and has formed many friendships while
living at Elmira. If you stop by Elmira today, you will hear T laughing
along with his peers, and he often has a big smile on his face. The
staff team has supported T to develop a regular exercise regime and
healthy eating habits. This has resulted in T gaining strength and
independence.
