Guelph, ON- Oct 21, 2024: Hopewell Support Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Johnston as its new Executive Director. Jessica’s appointment marks an important milestone in the organization’s continued growth and commitment to providing person-centered support for individuals with developmental disabilities.
With more than 20 years of experience in the developmental services sector, including over a decade in senior leadership roles, Johnston has dedicated her career to building inclusive communities where individuals are empowered to thrive. She has a proven track record in advocacy, program development, and leadership that prioritizes dignity, compassion, and excellence in care.
Johnston’s career with Hopewell began nearly two decades ago. She most recently served as Director of Operations, where she oversaw residential programs, respite services, and staff development. Her deep knowledge of the organization and the developmental services landscape positions her to lead Hopewell into its next chapter.
“I am honored to take on this role and continue building on the strong foundation established by the Oosterhuis family 41 years ago,” said Johnston. “I am excited about the opportunities ahead as we work together to create a more inclusive, supportive environment for the people we serve.”
Hopewell Support Services has been a trusted part of the Guelph community since 1983, providing residential, respite, and community programs for individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
