Skill Based programming

Let's create FULFILLING LIVES. Together

After over 20 years of providing essential support through our Children’s Overnight Respite Program, we've made the decision to close this service due to declining community need and significant barriers to access. As of October 4, 2024, we will be launching a new skills-based program aimed at enhancing the independence and abilities of children with disabilities.

Based on your feedback and careful consideration, we've designed this new program to focus on building competencies through tailored activities like friendship building, sports, cooking, and more. Sessions will run Fridays (4:30pm - 9pm), Saturdays (9am - 9pm), and Sundays (9am - 4:30pm), with improved accessibility through transportation options on Saturdays.

Each session will cater to two to six participants, ensuring personalized attention and support from our dedicated staff. Families will now have access to a minimum of 10 support days annually, offering more consistent care than our previous overnight program.

For families still needing overnight support, we're committed to assisting you in finding alternative options through collaboration with the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services and agencies province-wide.

We're excited about this new direction and look forward to sharing more details about the skills-based program soon. Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this transition.
